Smell Urself with Divine Clementine’s Dope Soap On A Rope!

This may be the most therapeutic thing for me & the most lucrative ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I, Madam CJ, became a Certified SoapMaker in June 2009 courtesy of The Herb Lady, Eshe Rivears. When I wrote the song ” Smell Urself” in 2003 I had no idea what this song would mean to people,especially women. Fast Forward to 2009.A lot of things happened that year, good things.I started to really LOVE ME.I started to really smell myself,yes pun intended! LOL! I re-recorded Smell Urself & the rest of the songs on “That’ s Madam 2 U!” including 2 new ones.I moved to a new place,decided on a name for my soap company and just decided that I would do things for myself all the way.It has been a task to say the least.When I made my first batch of soap, let’s just say it wasn’t too woman-friendly.I went back to the drawing board and came up with an even better solution.Goatsmilk! The benefits of Goatmilk are endless.Let me retract the statement, A very nice young man suggested I come to his co-op and check out the goats.The milk comes from “Happy Urban Goats” in East Atlanta. I am very thankful for this young man. Smelling Myself

Well the past coupla weeks I have been in reinvent mode. Reinventing my first ep,my stage show(which i am still wracking my brain about without trying to hire someone else to help me) and my overall marketing strategy. I hate it when Im so confident in my ability and then I start looking @ what other people have accomplished or doing. It makes me so damn insecure and Im really not an insecure person @ all. Do other artists do that? Well whatever, I really can’t worry about what other folks are doing. Shit I wrote a song called “Smell Urself”, about “doing u”. I should listen to it everyday to get my “swag on”(I hate that word). I know that this is what Im supposed to be doing(entertaining), I just have to keep @ it and not get sidetracked. So the ep has been re-recorded, Im just waiting on it to be mixed and mastered. Im really excited about it. I don’t know what to do next. Or maybe I do.

Making Deletes from Life and Facebook

Well, the past few weeks since Mercury(the planet of communication) has been in retrograde I have been fine tuning my overall life. I have been reviewing all things Madam Cj,  just plain Cj,and some of you know me as Curtisha, and she is being fine tuned also!LOL!!! Anyhoo, the things that used to entertain me just don’t anymore. I have had to make cuts from my life. I am saying ‘no’ more now and it feels damn good. If I don’t respect me as a Woman AND a Business Woman, then who will? And why is it when a woman is firm and definite in her answer’s she has to be labeled or called mean? Chile they haven’t EVEN experienced mean if that’s what they are thinking mean looks like! Well, I won’t go into details but a person that I considered a dear associate crossed the line and tried to go for my jugular via Facebook. And surprisingly his choice of words did not cut me like they would have 1-2 years ago. What really caught me off guard was when he would not let up with his words and the subject that was being discussed was one of great importance. My name being slandered. The guy did not show up like a friend or even a dear associate would. Long story short I had to go for his jugular,just a lil bit, because if I went all the way in he probably would have came to ATL lookin for me. BTW I would have had no problem with that!  I realized that in that moment I was no longer in need to be entertained by juvenile banter or tug of war and I kindly asked this person to delete me. That started a snowball effect. Ask yourself, if the 5 average people that you are around on a constant basis are people you want to be like.  I found this exercise in “The Success Principles” by Jack Canfield. I apply this to the many people that are in my life. If we cannot facilitate each other’s  needs(spiritual,emotional,business,etc.) in some way then what are we doing just taking up space? Hello world!

Well this is my first blog separate from myspace and facebook so here goes. Please be patient with me as I am still learning how to use this site.:) There have been a lot of things on my mind as of late, like my spiritual needs, my health and dietary needs, my emotional growth, the company I keep, the urge to smoke cigarettes and my career. ALL off these things are important to me and they have a trickle down effect. This month of September the focus is mainly on the spirtual,the health/diet and  the emotional. Mercury(the planet of communication) is in retrograde(traveling backwards)  this month until the 29th so its best to Revise,Replan, Review whatever that needs to be fine tuned in one’s life, so thats what I am doing. I really dont like to speak about specifics of what I am about to do. I like to “be about it” instead fo talking about, or as we say in Memphis “Don’t talk about it be about it”. I hope Im making sense. So with that being said, I hope this blog serves as somewhat as a journal for me, and a place of humor&enlightenment for the chreished reader.
